This company does not acknowledge African Americans. They lump us into a category that includes white women and people from other nationalities. The African American experience is unique and should be considered. Even their suppliers are not diverse. It's a "Good Ole Boy's Club."

We had some really nice people that worked for the company. There were some very genuine people there
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
The most positive was some of the great people I worked with. There were people who really cared about others
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
This is not an environment for African Americans. There is simply no where to go in this company. All of the top executives are white and older. There are speckles of women here and there. The opportunity to advance is non existent.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
I took a pay cut to join this company. I did the work of three people, but I was never compensated properly or valued. The position had previously been filled with a white women who had less education and experience. She was paid $35,000 more than I was as an African American woman.
