They are not really expanding currently they are shrinking because they predicted more income and didn’t receive it

You can accumulate sick days. They say you can call off too but that’s risking getting fired if you are an at will employee because if they don’t like you they will use that to write you up or just straight up fire you
How much and how often do raises happen at Shinola?
Rarely. Lol, they have been doing this thing lately where people get new titles AKA more work and no raise!! They actually hold small congratulatory meeting when it’s so horrible for the person because they feel the need to live up to the new title and take on all that work but they realize after a while that they aren’t appreciative and are actually being exploited

Not at all - no job security unless you’re a salaried employee

They do I think quarterly meeting with employees to “give feedback” but usually they just fire a lot of people around these vs promotions

Horrible and miserable if it wasn’t for my bills I would leave. Everyone says the same but that’s not the world or America we live in

Well they don’t tolerate anyone talking unless you are friends with them so

Very much so. They will overload you with work and then when you ask for help will shade you in secret

That corporate America isn’t for anyone
How much diversity is there among employees at Shinola?
They employ at this point probably about 1,000 people give or take company wide. At least 90% of the salaried employees are white. About 95% of the “offer letter” (no contract) employees are black.... they are an at will company..... need I say more (watch out y’all!). But I would say it’s about 50/50 though. All the people who work (on the line) on the watch - physically are black and they people with desks for the most part are white.

They pay is good

With all of their many flaws there is usually food in the kitchen so that’s cool I guess
