How difficult is it to maintain a social life while in your job at Shire Pharmaceuticals?
More difficult than it should be. The schedule has horrible hours and little consistency that make it difficult to impossible to schedule anything with people, or have get-togethers at a regular time. 7 days a week, morning afternoon or night, you are expected to be available.
It depends on which area you work in. In the warehouse we only work 8 hours a day so you really don't miss out on too much.
How challenged are you at Shire Pharmaceuticals?
Challenged? Not very much. Put in stressful situations? Quite a bit.
Almost everyday you get to learn something new that is if you are open to it.
What are the team outings like at Shire Pharmaceuticals?
I don't think our boss believes in teams or outings.
We don't have any team outings in the warehouse.
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining Shire Pharmaceuticals?
That the rules are made up and the points don't matter. Upper management pressures employees who care about their work to make up for the ones who don't because it's easier for them than confronting people and dealing with problems. And then they treat everyone as if they're equally responsible whether things go wrong or right.

In a word: "clownshow"
One of my interviews I was extremely nervous but the other one they made me feel relaxed.

tell them you think like them and you think all of their ideas are wonderful and "hey, I golf and motorcycle too, we'd be great buddies"
