Provide department budgets. Professional development & training. Look at other remote-first companies to see what they offer for office equipment budget, perks like monthly gift cards for lunch, half-day Fridays during the summer, PTO, pet insurance, etc. Offer a company match for 401K.
The whole package is great but I would say the best part is the balance they provide between work and life. Not only in the number of vacation days, sick day, and holidays you get but also the flexibility in the work schedule.

Salary should be reviewed annually. If employees are meeting their goals, the company should reward that.

The environment and culture is that of a startup. Very open space, very laid back, and many extras, like free snacks, drinks, etc. The approach is have fun while getting the work done.
It's a very open environment -- if you have a question or want to learn something, you can really easily ask the person who is in charge or an expert at it. Makes learning really easy and helps collaboration.

It was informal. I felt relaxed with each stage. No panel interviews. I was not asked to provide sample work to prove I could do the job.
The opportunity to just talk strategy and big picture goals versus just sitting down and answering the same questions from different people.
