Mr. Graham Timothy Baker has been Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director at Smith & Nephew plc. since March 1, 2017. He served as the Chief Financial Officer of Alvogen, Inc. from November 1, 2015 to December 15, 2016, where he was responsible for all global finance and information services. He has over 24 years of finance experience. Mr. Baker served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of North America at AstraZeneca plc since 2008 until 2010 and Vice President of Finance from 2008 to 2010. He served as the Head of Group Reporting at NTL Inc. European Chief Financial Officer of DVI Inc. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals LP, a subsidiary of AstraZeneca plc since January 2009. Mr. Baker was responsible for all Finance and Information Services matters in North America. He served as Regional Finance Director of Asia Pacific at AstraZeneca, where he was accountable for Finance, Information Services and Sourcing across the Asia Pacific Region and the delivery of sales, costs and profits in this key growth region for AstraZeneca. He was a Member of the Regional Management Team at AstraZeneca, where he closely involved with all major investments across 13 countries, including significant expansions in China, India and Indonesia. Mr. Baker served as Chief Financial Officer of AstraZeneca Japan and Business Development Director and was responsible for financial and commercial evaluations of key acquisitions and Global Marketing Finance Director for the cardiovascular therapy area. In 1995, he joined AstraZeneca PLC where he worked for 20 years, holding multiple senior roles including, most recently, Vice President of Finance, International from 2013 to 2015 with responsibility for all emerging markets and Vice President, Global Financial Services from 2010 to 2013. He served for 20 years at AstraZeneca. Prior to AstraZeneca, he served at Arthur Andersen. He served as a Director of Knightsbridge Shipping Limited. He has a strong track record of delivering operational excellence and has relevant experience across major finance roles and geographic markets, leading large teams responsible for significant budgets. Mr. Baker served as a Director of AstraZeneca Pharma India Ltd., from July 26, 2007 to December 31, 2008. He is a qualified Chartered Tax Advisor from Chartered Institute of Tax. Mr. Baker has MA (honours) in Economics from Cambridge University, UK and is a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
