It is a great culture - at least in my team and a couple of other teams I know. I wouldn't change a lot if anything.

They could perhaps stop trying to blame IBM for everything, accept that they no longer work at just SoftLayer and mentally set it straight that if IBM goes down, so do "we"

I work on a team where my manager encourages us to work on stuff that excites us and helps us learn and grow. He also a great champion for our team when it comes to dealing with upper management. In conclusion, I am most excited about getting to work on things that excite me while getting paid in the process! I am very fortunate.
