Sonatype is an amazing place. Very transparent between management and employees. Always open to suggestions. Very little management layers, and very respectful to all. I am an older female, and treated just like everyone else. HIGHLY recommend Sonatype, and recruited many friends to work here.

Great company to make a career

I get to work with a lot of different technologies; we're a remote-first company, so I work out of my home, but I see my teammates at least once a day via video conferencing and we're always in contact via Slack;

No company is perfect, but Sonatype has proven to be a great place to work. They truly care about their employees and the work life balance is better than anywhere else I've been. You're challenged to constantly think outside the box and given the ability to test different options.

While there are a lot of good attributes of the Sonatype leadership, their greatest is the ability to take suggestion. There is continuous proof that good ideas really do come from anywhere.

My pay is adequate, but I also live in the Midwest.

Pay for performance is easy to understand, and targets stretch but are reasonable. Stock options are not present as we are not public, but other options in place that make up for that.

The salary and health insurance are good. Vacation time is average.

They spent as much time asking and listening to what I was looking for in a company than asking me about my accomplishments to make sure there is a fit.

I got to interact with most of the people that would be on my team - most of them via 1-1 discussions; so, I got a chance to interview them as well (interviews aren't one-sided; as a candidate I have just as much interest in finding the right fit as the company does)
