The changes in leadership and culture over the past two years, from empowered and collaborative to directive and exclusive, have been the company's undoing, including the app debacle. There is very little chance of a Sonos comeback under the current leadership.

Good company to work for

Upper management is very opaque in communication with individual contributors. Direct managers need more DEI training to effectively communicate and collaborate with their reports.

Moving faster, they take too much time to innovate. Gone are the days of being relentlessly progressive. I wish John McFarlane was back.

The corporate structure needs flattening badly. Way too many levels of middle management. Stop beating around the bush and start walking the walk instead of simply talking the talk! Invest in proper DEI training for all leadership. Don't be afraid of young blood and outside perspectives.

Definitely feel that the men are paid more than the women. Health benefits not very inclusive. Open time off policy is a joke when you're still working in a startup-like environment with non-stop deliverables.

Streamline the hiring pipeline instead of spreading "on-site" interviews over the course of 1-2 weeks. Has become too slow and bureaucratic.
