David Leachman, MD, FASA, FACHE — Chief Executive Officer, Anesthesia at Sound Physicians

Dr. David Leachman leads Sound’s anesthesia specialty, the fastest-growing anesthesia practice in the United States. He is responsible for driving clinical strategy, business operations, medical group affairs, and continued growth of the specialty. Dr. Leachman is a board-certified anesthesiologist with more than two decades of experience in clinical practice and healthcare management. After completing medical school and residency at the University of New Mexico, he received his MBA in Healthcare from Auburn University. He previously served as Chief Medical Officer at Mountain View Regional Medical Center, and, before joining Sound, was President and Chief Medical Officer of Main Street Anesthesia, a large and successful anesthesia group serving hospitals in New Mexico. Dr. Leachman is a Fellow of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (FASA) and the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE). He is also a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
