Tom Ninneman — President of Fleet Vehicles & Services at Spartan Motors

Mr. Tom Ninneman has been the President of Fleet Vehicles & Services at Spartan Motors, Inc. since June 2, 2017. Mr. Ninneman joined Spartan Motors in 2017. He has over 25 years of business leadership to Spartan, including automotive and truck body building experience for customers across the fire/emergency response, refuse collection and defense markets. His experience in mass vehicle customization across a wide array of products is particularly synergistic with both the Utilimaster and Spartan Upfit Services go-to-market brand product and service portfolios. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of Smeal Fire Apparatus Company. Prior to joining Smeal, he served in numerous executive level operations and company leadership roles for Taylor Corporation and segments across Oshkosh Corporation. His responsibilities spanned domestic and international operations, large client support, leadership development/team building and strategic planning. He led both growth and distressed companies through turnarounds and lean journeys and has also led and managed merger, acquisition and subsequent integration efforts for multiple companies. Mr. Ninneman earned his Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and also served the U.S. Army as a Field Artillery officer for 11 years in both active duty and reserve assignments.
