    Spokeo offers basic search results for free. This may include the city and state, age, relatives, and locations of the individual you searched.

    All of Spokeos advanced search results require payment. Spokeo offers multiple types of payment options and while we do offer trials on certain search types, we cannot guarantee that a trial will be offered during the sign up process. We encourage you to explore the payment options available to you.

    When you sign up for a Spokeo membership, youll receive much more in-depth information in our easy-to-read reports. We charge for our reports because they compile data from a wide variety of commercially available sources and public records thataren'tnecessarily available through basic internet searches.     We understand that not every search on Spokeo returns the information you're looking for.

    Spokeo offers a "Search Concierge" service as a part of your membership that can help you to find results. Please feel free to contact our Customer Care team to take advantage of this service.

    If you'd like to investigate on your own, this issue could be due to one or more of the following reasons:

    Alternative Name Spellings or "Aliases" on the Report

    Let's say you're searching for "Constance Smith." We may not have a report listed under "Constance" for the person you're looking for. But if you search for "Connie Smith" or "Constanze Smith," that report may end up being the one you were looking for, whether they frequently use these aliases or not. Always double check the spelling of the name, try nicknames, and use common alternative names in your search.

    More Searches/Different Searches Needed

    Sometimes it can take multiple searches of different types to arrive at the desired information.

    Let's say you're looking for someone's social media profiles. If you conduct a search using their phone number, the results will likely be oriented to the ownership information, such as the name and address registered to the phone. Social media information might not even show up.

    But if your phone search does return an owner's name, you can run a search on that name. The results might then display social media profiles, or at least return an email address associated with the name. We can then do an email address search directly for associated public social media profiles attached to that email.

    No News Could Be Good News

    Don't forget that in some cases, like Criminal Records searches or social media searches, no results might indicate that there are truly no records to be found.

    Outdated or Incorrect Public Record

    The nature of public records is not only that they are publicly accessible, but they are created or edited by human beings. This means that records sometimes contain incorrect information due to human error. That error can be replicated across different systems and enter the public domain. Spokeo can then capture and display that incorrect information.

    It's also possible that new information hasn't yet been associated with the owner. That's where our team of data scientists come in. They're working nonstop to add more data, refresh our existing data, and use the latest technology to cross-reference and verify data.

    What should you do if you have limited or no results?

    Spokeos "Get Updates" feature can notify you when new or updated information becomes available. You'll get updates when we find new social activity, new address changes, additional contact information and more.

Some public records may have inaccurate or outdated information listed, meaning that this may be someone that previously had your phone number or address some time ago. It's also possible someone may have incorrectly listed your phone number, email or address as theirs in error on a marketing survey.

  • Why should I purchase a subscription if I only want one report?

    To answer that question, let's take a quick look at the Spokeo report for "Will Foster":

    This initial report provides phone numbers, an email address, and a home addressthe primary contact information Spokeo has on this individual.

    But if you click on an email address, Spokeo searches for any social media profiles that Will may have created with that email. And if you click on an address, Spokeo can search for more information about that property, including current residents and a full history of tenants.

    Each click on these items takes you to a new profile, and is a new search. If you didnt have a subscription, you'd have to pay for the results of each additional search in order to view that information. But if youre a subscriber, youd see those results immediately upon clicking without having to purchase additional reports.

    Maybe you're not even looking for Will's contact information, but instead trying to connect with a family member of his, whose name you may not know. Spokeo lists those names in the "Family" section of the single report:

    Again, without a subscription, you'd need to purchase additional reports to view each relative's separate report.

    While it might initially be more affordable to buy just one report, Spokeo subscriptions are ultimately more affordable if you factor in the cost of digging deeper.   • How does Spokeo's mobile app work and how can I download it?

    Spokeos mobile app helps you:

    Screen calls by viewing a caller's name on your screen, which may also include their photo, if available. We'll even identify your unknown missed calls.

    Identify scammers, fraudsters, telemarketers, and debt collectors when they call. You can decide to ignore them or block all unwanted calls.

    Manually block unwanted callers from your contact book.

    Spokeo's Mobile App is available for Android devices, and is free to use and install. To start enjoying the Spokeo Mobile App, please follow the steps below:

  • How to search on Spokeo's Website

    To locate search results on Spokeo, please follow the below steps:

    If you have a membership:

    1: Go to Spokeo.com, log-in, and perform a search:

    2. Find the report that matches the individual you're looking for, and click the "See Results" button that looks like this:

    You'll also see these markers on each report in the list that can help you to identify what information is available in the report:

    If you already have a membership, you should see the results immediately after clicking "See Results."

    If you do not have a membership:

    3. Click the "Unlock Profile" button on the top of the report that looks like this:

    4. Select the option you'd like to purchase, enter your payment information, and at the bottom of the screen click the "Unlock Results" button that looks like this:

    5. Continue through the purchase process until you hit the page asking you to set a password. Enter a new password into the form, and then enter it again to confirm. Select your reason for using the service, and then at the bottom of the screen click the "Finish" button that looks like this:

    Once you've created your password and clicked this button, you should see your results immediately. If you do not, please perform your search again and the results should appear.

    Spokeo also offers anAdvanced Search filter that allows you to narrow down your results by age, location, middle initial, and more for the most accurate results. The Advanced Search is located in the Search bar once a search has been initiated.

    Once you are directed to the next results page, click or tap in the search bar at the top of the page. A drop-down menu will appear with your recent searches, as well as examples of searches you can perform. Select Show Advanced Search displayed at the bottom of that menu.

  • Can you delete your Spokeo account?

    While a Spokeo subscription can be canceled at any time, in order to permanently close your account you'll need to contact our Customer Care team. Keep in mind that youll no longer be able to log into or make any changes to your Spokeo account. Once the Customer Care representative finishes the account closure, you must log out of the account to finalize the process.

    Please note, Spokeo cannot permanently delete your user purchase data, as we are required by law to maintain purchase records for a certain period of time.

    I received an error when I submitted my listing for removal.

    Please double check the formatting. Avoid using a URL with the word "purchase" in it. It should look like one of the following examples:

    I removed my listing, but it's still showing on the results page.

    Cached results can cause a listing to reappear on your computer or device due to stored information in the history of your browser. So, if the issue persists, clear your browsing data that is, your browser "cookies" and "cache," Next, run another search for the listing.

  • How can I get notified about updates to listings?

    Spokeos "Get Updates" feature can notify you when new information is available.

    Once you turn the feature on for a specific report, you will get updates when we find:

    New social media activity

    New contact information

    New addresses listed

    Any other report changes

    Simply click the Get Updates button on a profile you want to monitor.

    If youdon'tsee the Get Updates button on a profile, click the 3 dots next to More on the upper right-hand side of your report. A drop-down menu appears. Select Get Updates.

    To view updates, click the down arrow to the right of your avatar icon in the upper right-hand corner of the Spokeo page.

    When the drop-down menu appears, select My Updates. This will take you to your dashboard.

    All updates to the reports youre monitoring will conveniently appear in your dashboard. View the complete list of monitored people and addresses by choosing from the four options in the left-hand column.

    If you no longer wish to receive updates, you can also deactivate them. Simply return to the report for that person and click the 3 dots next to More and select Stop Updates or click the Stop Updates link directly on the profile.

    Yes! Spokeos Court Record Search allows you to browse court data from over 600 million records originating from 1400 courthouses across the U.S. The search results may include a description of the offense, the date and location of the offense, a disposition date, sentencing information, filing date, case number, and more.

  • How can I add or remove users on my Spokeo for Business plan?

    Account administrators can make changes to user and manager accounts.

    To Add a User

    From the main dashboard, click Team Members on the side menu to the left.

    From there, enter their email, name, phone number, and account type. Finally, click the send invitation button and an invite email will be sent to the user.

    To Remove a User

    From the main dashboard, click Team Members on the side menu to the left. Click on his/her record and then click on the Deactivate Team Member link at the bottom of the form.

  • What is Spokeo Connections and how can I use it?

    Spokeo Connections is a social media tool that collects all your friends' various social media profiles, photos and posts and displays them in a single location. This allows you to view your friends' latest updates across all social media platforms.

  • How many searches can I perform? Do you have an unlimited search membership?

    Spokeo subscriptions have maximum numbers of searches available each month. On the purchase page, click the Plan Specifications link to see that plan's maximum searches:

    Once you reach the subscription's monthly maximum, you can either wait for the searches to reset next month, or you can upgrade immediately to a higher maximum number of searches. Well prorate the upgraded subscription's payment to match the original subscription's remaining term length.

  • Why is Spokeo asking me for more money when I already paid?

    If you've already successfully completed a purchase and you're being prompted to pay again, it may be the result of one or more of the following reasons:

    You may not be logged in to your account to view the report

    Go to www.spokeo.com and check the upper right-hand corner. If you see an avatar icon with a drop-down menu next to it, youre logged in. If the Login and Sign Up links are displayed instead, then youre not logged in to the site. Click "Login" to proceed to your account.

    You've hit your maximum monthly searches and youre being prompted to upgrade

    When you've used all of your available monthly searches, our system will offer an upgrade to a larger number of searches. You can check how many searchesyou'veused on the "Account" page. Your searches will reset one month after the original purchase date and every month thereafter until the service is canceled.

    You're being prompted to pay for an add-on

    Our Historical and Court Record search types are add-ons to your subscription. If you're attempting to use these search types, and they are not already part of your subscription plan, you'll be prompted to purchase these add-ons.

  • How to view your Spokeo PDF

    In Your Email

    When you click the "PDF" button on a report, youre first prompted to purchase. Once you complete payment, we send the PDF to the email address associated with your Spokeo account. The PDF appears as an attachment. Please note, PDF reports do not provide additional information from the report you've already viewed. The PDF report is simply a downloadable copy of the report that you can save to your computer or print.

    Please also note, PDF reports are only available to download for 90 days after purchase, so be sure you save it to your computer after purchasing.

    In Your Account

    To navigate to the Account page, click the down arrow by the avatar in the upper right-hand corner of the Spokeo page. Next, select Account from the drop-down menu.
