
It depends. If you're a recent hire you probably have a good salary, especially if you're more senior. Retention is not good; compensation doesn't keep up. HR denies managers the power to give appropriate raises to keep up with the market. HR denies the ability to make competitive counter offers. I would say that in general the compensation situation is pretty poor.
