Executive Bio
Mr. Leonard Castro serves as an Executive Vice President of Buildings of Stantec Inc. Mr. Castro is the business operating unit leader for Stantec's Buildings group, with overall responsibility for the growth and direction of its global architecture and engineering practice. In this role, Mr. Castro has been privileged to travel to Stantec's offices around the globe and in doing so, has developed a deep understanding of the diversity in geography, culture and history that makes each community unique. With 30 years in practice and 20 years with Stantec, Mr. Castro's work includes complex project delivery for some of the largest institutions in North America and Internationally across all of Stantec's sectors. His recent project experience includes: the University of Alberta's Edmonton Clinic Health Academy, University of Alberta Dentistry Pharmacy Building, Rockyview General Hospital Renovation and Addition and projects for the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, MacEwan University, University of Calgary, Epcor, WestJet's Corporate Campus and multiple projects for ATB Financial. Mr. Castro is an active member of his professional and local community and a participating member of a variety of industry-related and community organizations.
