Ron Boyd — Senior Principal at Stantec

Mr. Ron Boyd has been Senior Principal at Stantec Inc. since March 21, 2017. Mr. Boyd is Co-founder of WEG and serves as its President. He has been involved in a wide range of water resources investigations including: ecology creation and restoration, point and nonpoint source water quality impact assessments, floodplain evaluations, master drainage studies and storm water management planning. He has also been a leader in the planning and design of wetland mitigation and stream restoration projects for over 20 years and during this period, he is over 150 projects move to construction. He has coordinated numerous environmental resource inventories and assessments involving surface and groundwater quality and quantity, soils, preservation areas, land use and historic resources. He developed several Environmental Management Plans for golf courses incorporating Integrated Pest Management techniques and progressive storm water management controls or Best Management Practices (BMPs). He served as Principal of Williamsburg Environmental Group, Inc. He is also a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia, Maryland, North Carolina, Delaware, West Virginia and Texas. He has served as a Board Member on the Chesapeake Bay Local Assistance Board. He is a Member of the Golf Course Business Consultants for environmental issues. Mr. Boyd holds a B.S. degree in Meteorology from Texas A&M University and an M.S. degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
