Russell Wlad — Executive Vice President and Regional Operating Unit Leader - Canada at Stantec

Mr. Russell Wlad, also Known as Russ serves as Executive Vice President and Regional Operating Unit Leader of Canada at Stantec Inc. Mr. Wlad oversees Stantec's three Canadian geographic regions. He has more than 27 years of experience overseeing Stantec of multi-discipline teams to effectively provide value-added solutions to its clients. He has an excellent understanding of government and public sector clients, private land development, buildings and industrial related projects. He recognizes the value of strong client relationships and providing quality service by motivating teams to work collaboratively to deliver efficient and innovative projects. He has been involved in several green energy sustainable and LEED design projects incorporating wind, solar, geothermal, district heating and energy efficient solutions. He served as Vice President at Stantec Consulting Ltd. in the Alberta North & Central Region, providing professional consulting services in planning, engineering, architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, surveying, environmental sciences, project management and project economics for multi-disciplinary projects. He served as a Director of Cleanfield Alternative Energy Inc. from April 2010 to October 26, 2010. He has served on many professional committees with Alberta Public Works Association, Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta and Consulting Engineers of Alberta. He is a strong advocate of community involvement and has served on several boards and committees for local organizations including the Board of Directors for the 2019 Canada Winter Games, Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Red Deer College, Red Deer Regional Health Foundation and Red Deer Minor Hockey, in addition to his active participation as a Rotarian for over 20 years. He served as the Chair for the Urban Development Institute chapter of Red Deer. Mr. Wlad graduated with his Bachelors of Science in Engineering from the University of Alberta in 1989.
