Steve Fleck — Chief Practice & Project Officer and Executive VP at Stantec

Mr. Steve Fleck has been the Chief Practice & Project Officer and Executive Vice President of Stantec Inc. since January 1, 2018. Mr. Fleck served as Executive Vice President of Project Delivery Office at Stantec Inc. until January 1, 2018 and served as its Vice President. Mr. Fleck served as the Practice Leader Program and Project Management in Stantec's Canada West and US West Regions. In addition, he has corporate responsibility as Practice Leader for Major Projects and Public Private Partnerships. He also serves in a number of volunteer capacities in his home community of Vancouver. He has 30 years of experience in engineering, project management and business management. He serves as a Director of Providence Health Care. He serves as the Chairman of the Building Committee and member of the Finance Council for Providence Health Care's Lady of Perpetual Help Parish. He served as chair of the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies British Columbia (ACEC-BC). He served as director and vice chair of ACEC-Canada, the national organization. He has also been very involved in youth soccer, as a coach and manager for the past 12 years and also as a Director of the Dunbar Soccer Association and President of Vancouver Richmond Girls Soccer Association. He is a Professional Engineer registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of the Province of BC and the Professional Engineers of Ontario. He teaches project management at the BC Institute of Technology and has lectured in project management at the University of BC and Penn State University. He has served on two terms (eight years) as a Director of the Consulting Engineers of BC (CEBC) and is Designated Director of CEBC. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Civil Engineering from Queen's University at Kingston, Ontario along with a Master of Business Administration from Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, BC.
