What's the interview process like at Swirl.net?
The interview process can be a little bit slow, but it's thorough. You'll meet with at least 5 people in different areas, and will have a mix of conversational and "deep dive" interviews .
What part of Swirl.net's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Digital strategy and data-driven product design and development are the area that have grown the most rapidly. The print and TV advertising areas have slowed down a bit more, which goes hand in hand with Swirl's efforts to cater to the increasing digital demand.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Swirl.net?
One of Swirl's buildings, the Creative Lab, is an open space concept that works well in some ways but there are circumstances where it gets to be too much. A balance between open and sectioned would be NICE.

The CEOs are very well regarded. They're very open, creative, passionate, altruistic, compassionate, and driven people that always strive to create a great environment that promotes and celebrates good work.
How's the work life balance at Swirl.net?
Being in the digital client services/product development market, there's several roles that tend to require more than the usual 9-5 job would—it's just the demanding nature of the market in a way. However, if working late nights become a habitual part of an employee's life, it's considered a red flag, and there's processes in place to surface those situations and distribute the work appropriately.
Does Swirl.net have any remote positions?
Swirl does work with some people remotely, but in-person collaboration is encouraged given that it lends itself to better social ergonomics within teams.
How does Swirl.net make decisions around promotions?
Promotions come naturally at Swirl because there are constant feedback loops between most managers and their direct reports. Growth paths, learning, and sharing knowledge is encouraged, so normally a person is promoted when they've basically grown into the job. It all feels very seamless.
How's the vacation policy at Swirl.net?
Vacation days are acrued on a monthly basis, and there's a way to "borrow" days if you've used more days than you've acrued or have simply not acrued enough yet.
