It's very common to switch departments, as part of changes driven by company strategy or the professional development goals of employees.
It's fairly common, and encouraged, especially across engineering (field/product/QA) roles. People who express interest in developing across departments are strongly supported

There is no policy. Tamr employees can take whatever time they need to balance their personal and professional lives in the context of fulfilling their job.
What are the differences between maternity and paternity leave at Tamr?
Tamr doesn't differentiate in this way - Tamr has primary caregivers and caregiver categories. The primary caregiver gets 18 weeks paid leave and the caregiver category gets 10 weeks. Parental leave is available for birth, adoption and foster placement events. Tamr also provides flexibility for this time to be taken in increments rather than in a single chunk - some employees work part time, for example, and some split their time across several discrete periods.
What should I wear for an interview at Tamr?
Business casual is fine. Tamr is very engineering centric so there is a general feel of comfort. The business folks tend to dress a bit more formally, but that still means nice jeans most of the time. A sports jacket is pushing the limits of formality. No; Tamr gives flexibility to have a social life. It does require heads down, hard work during sprints, but this work mode isn't required all the time.
