Management thinks all positions are "plug and play" and that anyone in the world with the same "title" can do the same job. So, hire more in Asia, layoff more in USA. Been happening for years, but COVID seemed to have accelerated the practice.

People that you have worked with many years are very supportive.
What makes you most happy at work?
Keeping busy with projects and having my management support my decisions vs nickel and diming me.
What does the leadership team need to get better at?
Recognizing that there are true costs associated with the choice of eliminating experienced higher cost personnel and suppliers with lower cost, less experienced ones.
What are some of the best things about your team?
Local team works well together and recognizes a sense of urgency. Always there to help whether or not it's in their job scope or not. Old school values.
