Mr. John C. Deushane has been General Manager and President of WXIA/WATL for Atlanta at TEGNA Inc. since June 2010. Mr. Deushane served as Chief Operating Officer of Granite Broadcasting Corp. since January 1, 2003 and served as its Senior Vice President from 1998 to 2002. Mr. Deushane served as Regional Vice President - Midwest from 1998 to 2002. Prior to his position as Regional Vice President - Midwest, Mr. Deushane served as President and General Manager of KSEE-TV from 1997 to 1998 and President, General Manager and Director of sales of WEEK-TV from 1991 to 1998. He earlier worked for Price Communications Corporation in various positions, including president and general manager at KRCG-TV in Jefferson City, MO. He has held board of director positions with numerous associations, including the New York, California, Illinois and Missouri Broadcaster Associations, Television Bureau of Advertising, NBC Sales and Marketing Committee, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Easter Seals, Council for Drug Free Youth, Bradley University, Boys & Girls Club, Crime Stoppers and others. Mr. Deushane graduated magna cum laude from Bradley University with a bachelor of science degree in broadcast management and journalism.
