Executive Bio

Ms. Lynn Beall Trelstad serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Media Operations at TEGNA Inc. Ms. Beall plays a leading role in division operations and corporate content and revenue teams. She also oversees WUSA, TEGNA's station in Washington, DC. Ms. Beall served as President and General Manager of KSDK-TV at TEGNA Inc. from 1998 to 2014. She was named Senior Vice President in 2001 and Executive Vice President in 2006. Ms. Beall served as Executive Vice President of Gannett Broadcasting, Inc. She served as Senior Vice President of Gannett Television at Gannett Broadcasting Inc. Ms. Beall served as an Executive President of Gannett Broadcasting. Over the course of her career, Ms. Beall has held a variety of station leadership positions across TEGNA. Prior to joining KSDK, she served as Director of Marketing and Programming at KPNX in Phoenix, AZ; National Sales Manager at WUSA; and worked in news production in her home state of Kansas. She serves as Vice Chairman of National Association of Broadcasters Television Board. During her time in the field, Ms. Beall was named as the TEGNA's Manager of the Year twice. Ms. Beall serves on the CBS Television Network Affiliates Association Board. Prior to her move to the Washington, DC area, she was an Active Member in the St. Louis community. She served as a Board Member or Advisor for organizations like the Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the St. Louis affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, the Urban League and the St. Louis Sports Commission Board. Ms. Beall holds a degree in journalism from the University of Kansas, a Certificate in sales management from the TeleRep Taft Broadcasting sales and management training program and a certificate from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in the Executive Program in Strategy and Organization.
