Mr. Peter L. Diaz serves as an Executive Vice President of Gannett Broadcasting at TEGNA Inc. Mr. Diaz served as the President of Media Operations at Belo Corp. since April 2010. He has over 27 years of television and management experience. Mr. Diaz served as Executive Vice President of Television Operations of Belo Corp. since October 2007 until March 2010. He served as Senior Vice President of Belo Corp. from February 1, 2006 to October 2007. From January 1999 to January 2006, he served as Vice President and General Manager of KHOU-TV. He served as General Sales Manager of Belo's KOTV in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Mr. Diaz joined Belo in 1984 as National Sales Manager at KHOU-TV in Houston and served as its Local Sales Manager since 1985. From 1994 to 1995, he served as the Director of Sales and Marketing of WFAA-TV in Dallas/Fort Worth. Mr. Diaz began his career as a Research Assistant in 1978 at WJBK-TV. He moved through the Storer sales system from 1979 to 1984, first as a Local Account Executive in Detroit and then served as a National Sales Representative in Detroit and New York. He serves as a Director at Greater Houston Partnership. He serves on the boards of the CBS Television Network Affiliates Association, the Tomas Rivera Policy Institute, Sheltering Arms Senior Services in Houston and United Way of Texas Gulf Coast. He also served on the United Way Board of Directors. He is Vice Chairman of the Partnership's Quality of Life Advisory Committee. He serves on the Sheltering Arms Senior Services' Executive Committee. Mr. Diaz graduated from the University of Detroit School of Communications from 1974 to 1978 on scholarship from Storer Broadcasting Company.
