Ms. Jane C. Sherburne, J.D. serves as a Principal of Sherburne PLLC. Ms. Sherburne served as a Senior Executive Vice President and General Counsel at The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation (also known as BNY Mellon Asset Servicing B.V.) from May 3, 2010 to April 2014 and also served as its Corporate Secretary until April 2014. Since 2009, she has conducted her own legal practice, specializing in crisis advising and congressional investigations. She served as General Counsel of Wells Fargo Corporation (formerly Wachovia Corporation) since May 2008 and also served as its Secretary and Senior Executive Vice President. She led Wachovia's Legal Division, which includes lawyers, paralegals and support staff, as well as the Government Relations department. Ms. Sherburne joined Wachovia Corporation in 2008. Ms. Sherburne served as General Counsel of Global Consumer Group (GCG) at Citigroup Inc., and oversaw all its legal matters. She also served as Senior Deputy General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel of Citigroup Inc where she oversaw its global litigation and providing corporate- level legal support. Ms. Sherburne joined Citigroup in July 2001 and was responsible for legal disputes or controversies at the group level, including the management of congressional and regulatory investigations. She also oversaw Citigroup Inc. litigation globally, its U.S. bank regulatory matters, global anti-money laundering and legal support for corporate finance activities. She supervised bank regulatory matters, significant litigation, proprietary capital markets activity and global anti-money laundering legal matters. Ms. Sherburne served as Partner of Wilmer, Cutler & Pickering in Washington, D.C. joining the firm in 1984, where she held a litigation practice, representing clients in matters requiring crisis management, including media relations and matters involving Congressional investigations, internal government and corporate investigations, as well as complex civil litigation. She served as the Chief of Staff and Executive Assistant to the Commissioner of Social Security in the Carter Administration. She served as a Legislative Assistant at Congressman Donald Fraser. Ms. Sherburne interrupted her practice at WCP from 1994 to 1997 and served as Special Counsel to the President at The White House (Clinton Administration). She assembled and managed a team of lawyers, including congressional and public relations specialists, to conduct internal inquiries, respond to the ongoing activities of the Independent Counsel and develop and implement congressional and public relations strategies in response to Clinton White House ethics investigations. She served as Editor of the Georgetown Law review. Ms. Sherburne serves as Chairman of the Board of the National Women's Law Center. She serves as a member of the Board of Trustees of the New York Lawyers for Public Interest. She serves as a Member of Advisory Board of Perella Weinberg Partners LP. She has been a Director of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated since August 1, 2014 and HSBC Finance Corporation since May 4, 2016. Ms. Sherburne has been Director of HSBC USA Inc since June 2015. She serves as a Director at Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. She has extensive experience with compliance programs, corporate governance matters, merger and acquisition activities and government affairs. She is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. She is a graduate of the University of Minnesota with B.A. in 1974 and M.S.W. and has Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1983. She also earned M.A. from University of Minnesota.
