What did you like most about the interview process?

Friendly manager (Left for a better job with the state)

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?

The most positive thing I can say is most of your peers will be friendly and helpful, as well as skilled, although unfortunately with management eliminating so many positions and outsourcing, this is rapidly changing.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?

You will certainly feel undervalued working here. The wages are far below market average in the field/industry. Even some of the higher level engineering positions are quite underpaid when compared to competitors. The health insurance is mediocre with large deductibles.

What's going wrong and how can it be improved?

- Severe micromanagement of employees - Unskilled and non-technical managers who don’t understand the jobs of the employees they “manage” - Entire departments are laid off, and other employees are directed to assume their duties with no new compensation or training at a moment’

What does the leadership team need to get better at?

The leadership team needs to understand that cost cutting at the expense of the customers and current employees is not the end-all-be-all. They have recently laid off entire departments at random and hire untrained, unskilled contractors from overseas. They need to pay fair wages for real talent.

What are some of the best things about your team?

Some of the best things about TPx is generally the people. The Technicians and Engineers I work with are mostly very skilled and friendly. Middle and upper Management, however, is poor, disorganized, and always trying to compromise the business to save a dollar. Race to the bottom philosophy.
