Executive Bio

Stephen Brobst is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Teradata Corporation. He is widely regarded as a leading expert in data warehousing and joined the Teradata team in October of 1999. Previously, Brobst successfully launched three start-up companies related to high-end database products and services in the data warehousing and e-business marketplaces.
Stephen performed master's and Ph.D. research at MIT, and also holds an MBA with joint course and thesis work at the Harvard Business School and the MIT Sloan School of Management. Brobst completed his undergraduate work in electrical engineering and computer science in just three years at University of California, Berkeley, and was awarded the highest honor given to a graduating senior.
He has served as an advisor to the National Academy of Sciences in the area of IT workforce development and also served in Barack Obama’s first term as a member of the President’s Innovation and Technology Advisory Committee (PITAC).
