What skills do you need to be successful in the Communications department at Texas A&M?
A spirit of collaboration and the skills to cross communicate with university and community partners. Keeping up with the latest advancements is also a plus. That means taking training and re-certificating, when needed.
How are the career growth opportunities on the Communications team at Texas A&M?
There are some, but once you reach the threshold of what can be offered there is not much that can be done, unless you transition to another position or area or another position is created that offers additional pay.
What's the best part of your job at Texas A&M?
Working with such amazing people. The caliber of the people working here is great. Professional and respectful of differences.
What are you most excited about working at Texas A&M?
The diversity and the sincere appreciation for the contributions made my the employees. The university always takes the opportunity to celebrate the employees. That's pretty nice. The wellness incentives and the commitment to the employees to focus on fitness is impressive. There are many offering for professional development as well.
If you could make changes, how would you improve the culture at Texas A&M?
It's pretty good here. Maybe elevate the status of the staff as much as they do the faculty in their public image.
