View ArticleWe do not reroute packages, as the vast majority of reroutes never make it to their final destination.
While FedEx does have the capability to reroute, we do not process them because the success rate is very low and can delay deliver which will result in poor quality of your Bouq.

Avoid these mistakes with your fresh flowers
Bud (bloom) Count vs. Stem Count
Our arrangements are either made up of a count of blooms or a count of individual stems. Lilies, for example, have 3-4 flower blooms per stem while tulips will only have one per stem. If you're unsure how many flowers to expect just check out the details on the product page!
Some of our more popular flower types may seem smaller or greener than you were expecting which is normal!
Tulipsarrive in bud form and will look like bulbs. This is normal because they come straight from the source and will bloom beautifully with trim and some hydration. Since these flowers are top-heavy, they only need about 1-2 inches of water and trim to fit the vase.
Day 1
Avoid these mistakes with your fresh flowers!
Day 2
Ranunculus are a smaller bloom that take time to open. The bulbs may appear very small or droopy but they just need some hydration and a quick trim! Deluxe and grand sizes will arrive as 2-3 separate bouqs.
Deluxe Unboxing:
Day 1
Day 2
Day 5 - still blooming!
Freesiaalso arrives in bud form. Since these blooms are smaller we recommend ordering a deluxe or grand size for a fuller arrangement. The greenery is in fact freesia waiting to bloom!
Deluxe Unboxing:
Day 1
Day 2
Alstroemeriablooms arrive slightly closed and also in bud form. Once they're trimmed and hydrated they'll bloom and last up to 2 weeks! Shades and color intensity may vary.
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Liliesarrive in bud form for weeks of enjoyment. All buds should bloom, but it's normal if some do not bloom.
Day 1
Day 2
Daisies may arrive slightly droopy. This is normal as well and should perk up with a trim and hydration (just 2 inches!). Trim to the size of your vase since the stems need to be supported.
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Peonies look like tiny bulbs when delivered which is totally normal! It may take between 1-2 days to fully open to reveal their soft, fluffy petals. The lifespan after they have fully bloomed is about 2-3 days.If you'd like flowers with a longer lifespan that have a similar appearance, we recommend garden roses.

Check My Order Status
View ArticleFedEx couriers will deliver your farm Bouqs by 8pm. Couriers will typically attempt to make deliveries to business addresses by 5pm, however, depending on their route for the day, this might not be feasible and therefore cannot be guaranteed.
Florist/same-day Bouqs should be delivered within your selected window of time. If the status of your Bouq hasn’t changed, it’s likely the florist’s courier just hasn’t updated the system yet (some make all of their updates after the delivery).
We are happy to double-check on the status of your Bouqs for you- simply send us an email here.
View ArticleYour Bouq is either cut fresh from our sustainable farms or delivered on demand by one of our artisan florists.
Our farm Bouqs will arrive in branded boxes, designed to keep the flowers safe during their journey. Included in the box are flower care instructions, a gift card, a vase if ordered, and of course your flowers.
Depending on the size of the arrangement, flowers will arrive in 1 (original), 2 (deluxe), or 3 (grand) bunches inside the box. Simply trim and arrange the flowers with fresh water, then watch them blossom!
They’re chopped at the farms in bud-form and packaged without water tubes to prevent early blooming. This way, you or your recipient will have them for their entire vase life.
Bouqs which are fulfilled by our florist partners will arrive in a branded, eco-friendly paper cones or a vase, if purchased. The flowers will be in full bloom and arranged with a designer’s touch.
View ArticleThe Bouqs Company does not require a signature, but FedEx will sometimes require that recipients sign for International shipments. If your Bouq is coming from one of our South American farms, FedEx may ask for a signature.
You also have the option to sign for the package online. To do so, use your FedEx tracking number, which can be found on your order page, and track the package on FedEx.com. Once you have located your order, select the "Sign for Package" option.
Often, with signature release, FedEx will leave the flowers if someone is not there to accept them. FedEx trusts its drivers to keep packages safe; they give them the final say on whether to leave a package or not. FedEx wants to make sure nothing happens to your Bouq if someone is not there to accept the order. You may also sign up for the FedEx Management tool to leave notes and instructions for your driver.
View ArticleIf the delivery is not left at the delivery address, FedEx will either try to deliver the package later in the day or the next morning. Typically, there is a door tag left at the door or delivery location that specifies the next steps of the delivery.
If they continue to have problems with the delivery, they will hold the flowers at the nearest FedEx shipping facility.
It is up to the individual FedEx driver if they leave the package at the door. If they feel it is unsafe to leave it, they will reattempt delivery at a later time.

View ArticleFor care instructions specific to your flowers, please visit our Flower Care page.
General Tips:
Because our flowers come straight from the source and are minimally handled, they will often arrive in bud form. At first, they may appear pretty green, small, floppy, and even sometimes might look dead but are really just dehydrated. This is totally normal!
By following the care instructions on the box, your Bouq will bloom open beautifully; clip the stems, pull off most of the outside leaves, place them in water, and watch them come into their own. A few best practices:
Ensure your vase is the right height for the flowers
Trim off 1 inch of the stem at a 45 degree angle
Flowers with thick stems (like Tulips and Calla Lilies) absorb water quickly, so don't overfill the vase- 2 inches of water is all you need!
Sunflowers will arrive closed, but perk up quickly with the right amount of sun
Change the water every two days
Avoid these mistakes with your fresh flowers

Air Plants:
WATER:Mist plants with water once a week. Plants do not like to sit in a wet base, and are sensitive to sitting moisture. Plants will begin to dull in color if they become overly dry.
LIGHT:Display in medium to bright, indirect sunlight, or in a place they will receive at least 8 hours of medium to bright artificial light.
TEMPERATURE:60-80F. Do not expose to extreme temperatures. Keep away from air conditioning or heating vents.
FERTILIZER:Plants will survive without any fertilizing; however, you can mist or soak with a solution of balanced houseplant food at a recommended strength once a month during the growing season.
Cactus:
WATER:Allow soil to dry between watering. Do not allow standing water in pot or tray.
LIGHT:Display in sunny areas near a window, or in a place it will receive 8 hours of bright artificial light.
TEMPERATURE:These plants tolerate a wide range of temperatures from 60-90F. Keep away from air conditioning or heating vents.
FERTILIZER:Apply a balanced houseplant food once every other month at strength during warm seasons.
Succulent:
WATER:Allow soil to dry between watering. Succulents can tolerate very dry conditions. Do not allow standing water in the pot or tray.
LIGHT:Display in bright artificial light or near a window in indirect sunlight. In mild climates, succulents can grow on an outside porch without direct sunlight.
TEMPERATURE:These plants tolerate a wide range of temperatures from 40-90F. Do not allow to freeze and keep away from air conditioning and heating vents.
FERTILIZER:Apply balanced houseplant food once every other month at strength during warm growing seasons.
Gardenia:
Temperature
Ideally likes 60-80 degrees. Tolerates 33 - 95 degree F.
Light
Bright light, but not full sun. Light shade. Indoors high light is important for flower development.
Water
Only when the top of the soil feels dry. Add water until it runs through the pot and then drain well. Overly wet or overly dry may cause bud-drop.
Replanting Gardenia:
Gardenias can be repotted into larger containers or planted in the ground in the spring or fall time. If planted outside, dig a hole only as deep as the root ball and 2 to 3 times as wide. Carefully remove the plant from the container and set it in the hole. Fill the hole half full with soil, then water it well to settle the soil and eliminate air pockets. Let the water drain, then fill the remainder of hole with soil and water thoroughly.
Lavender Plants:
WATER:Only water when the soil is dry and allow it to dry out between waterings as the roots cannot sit in soggy conditions. However, if the leaves are limp it means you need to water it more.
LIGHT:Lavender plants want to sunbathe and get hot and dry. Display them in a place they will receive at least 8 hours of direct sunlight light.
TEMPERATURE:Keep out of cold temperatures and make sure it gets plenty of sun.
FERTILIZER:Fertilizer will be needed with lavender grown in containers. A handful of compost will work every 6 months or so.
Oregano:
Temperature
Ideal 50-75 F. Tolerates -20 to 80F.
Light
High light indoors. Full sun outdoors.
Water
Moderate
After care:
Ok to cut back to keep plant tidy and to induce growth of new leaves.
Sansieveria(Snake Plant)
Light:Snake plants are very hardy options that are easy to care for. While they can withstand full sun and handle low light, indirect sunlight is ideal for a snake plant.
Water:Snake plant can easily rot so make sure the soil is well-drained and don’t water it too much (especially in winter). Allow the soil to dry in between waterings. As they originate from arid deserts, these plants do well in sandier soils.
Temperatures:Conditions ranging from 55 85 are fine for sansevieria, however, they prefer warmer temperatures. Temperatures below 50 can cause them harm.
Toxicity:While the toxicity levels are low, it’s safest to keep pets away from your plant. It can cause excessive salivation, pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Pests and Problems:Although it is easy to grow, there are still a few problems you may come across. Overwatering and exposure to cold are the key culprits. These hardy plants have few insect problems, however, it can become infested with mealybugs and spider mites. As these pests suck sap from the leaves, they cause small wounds and leaf shedding. You can dab mealybugs with alcohol as a control method. Spider mites can be eliminated by washing the leaves and increasing humidity around the plant.
Jasmine:
Light:Jasmine plants like bright sunlight, so if the plant is indoors, make sure that it is getting sunlight for up to four hours a day.
Water: Jasmine plants need a lot of water, especially when they are in bloom. It is best to always keep the soil slightly moist. The plants should be watered on a weekly basis, but if the soil becomes dry before that, water the plant early.
Temperature: Jasmine plants are able to handle hot and humid temperatures, but they will not survive cold, winter temperatures. Try tokeep the temperature between 60 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit.
Fertilizer: Jasmine plants should be fertilized at least twice a year, but during the growing season of spring and summer, liquid fertilizer can be fed to the plant every few weeks.
Ivy:
Light: Ivy plants like bright indirect light;direct sun burns their leaves.
Water: Allow the top 25-30\% of the soil to dry out before watering. Ivy plants die because they are over-watered. Crispy leaves indicate over-watering not under-watering.
Temperature: Ivy plants can grow in temperatures between 45-80 but they do prefer a consistent temperature.
Fertilizer: Feed every two weeks in the spring and summer with a basic houseplant food diluted to 1/2 the recommended strength. Fertilize monthly in the fall and winter.
Zebrina Plant:
Light: Medium light is sufficient to keep this plant alive and growing. Make sure not to deprive it too much or it might lose the leaf coloration. A location that gets at least some direct sunlight is great, though it’s best to prevent full afternoon sun.
Water: Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings, then water deeply. Do not water directly into the crown of the plant. Doing so may encouragerotting of the steams and roots.
Temperature: Does well in room temperatures ranging from 55 degrees to 75 degrees.Fahrenheit.
NOTE:Zebrinas will achieve the most vibrant, bright colors in high, bright indirect light and at consistently warmer temperatures.
Fertilizer: If desired, use a general liquid houseplant fertilizer two times monthly.
