Executive Bio

Mr. Kelvin Balogun has been President of South and East Africa at The Coca-Cola Company since August 1, 2016 and served as its President of the Central, East and West Africa Business Unit from January 1, 2013 to August 1, 2016. Mr. Balogun served as General Manager for Nigeria at The Coca-Cola Company until December 31, 2012. He leads a team that covers 30 countries in East Africa, West Africa and the Horn of Africa. After beginning his career with Accenture, he joined The Coca-Cola Company in October 1999 as Strategic Planning and Business Development Manager for Coca-Cola Nigeria. From there, he moved to positions of increasing responsibility in Kenya, Tanzania and other nations. Following that, he was Strategy Director for Coca-Cola East and Central Africa, with responsibility for strategy development across 27 markets. He then became General Manager for the East Africa and Mozambique franchise, leading Coca-Cola's market development in Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya and Mozambique. Prior to taking his current position, he was Managing Director for Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited. Mr. Balogun holds a bachelor's degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria and an MBA from Emory University.
