How secure do you feel at your job at The GEO Group?
very unsecure
Very few would do my job for this little money, so I guess I feel secure.
What are the differences between maternity and paternity leave at The GEO Group?
I use to be a Captain there so I know they have maternity leave for mother’s and paternity leave for father.

Very low, just like the pay.
What unique perks and benefits does The GEO Group provide?
The benefits package is okay, but expensive. If you are the corporate office, you get more perks and vacation than you do at any of the correctional or detention facilities. The Wardens get a generous delayed compensation package.
How much diversity is there among employees at The GEO Group?
We have a lot of diversity, actually, especially among the correctional staff. As long as you are 21, can pass a background check, and can pass a fitness test, you will get hired. Many facilities are understaffed and are extremely desperate for employees, so people from all backgrounds get hired.
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining The GEO Group?
I wish I had known that non-security staff members have almost no opportunities for career advancement.

Each correctional or detention facility has a different layout, but almost all are designed for the movement of inmates or detainees, not for the benefit or conveniences of staff.
