Executive Bio

Mr. Dwaine Kimmet serves as Senior Vice President of Payments and Treasurer at The Home Depot, Inc. Mr. Kimmet served as Senior Vice President of Business & Corporate Development at CO Liquidation Inc. (formerly Commerce One) Mr. Kimmet led Commerce One's mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, and partnership- development activities. He joined Commerce One in 2000 and has served in a variety of roles, including responsibility for executing Commerce One's largest e-marketplace deals throughout 2000 and 2001. Prior to joining Commerce One, Mr. Kimmet worked for General Motors for 14 years in a variety of roles in the U.S., Europe, and Asia. At the time of his departure, he oversaw mergers and acquisitions activity for GM with respect to e-commerce and fuel cells. In that role, Mr. Kimmet was active in developing and executing GM's strategy in these areas through the use of options theory and also completed the acquisition of the Hummer brand name for GM from AM General. Prior to mergers-and-acquisition activity at GM, Mr. Kimmet held various GM management positions in currency trading, commodities hedging, capital planning and investor relations. Mr. Kimmet served as Director of Strategic Business Development at The Home Depot, Inc. Mr. Kimmet also served as analyst for the GM Board of Directors until his departure for business school. He served as a Director of Perfect Commerce, Inc. Mr. Kimmet holds an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School, where he attended as a GM Fellow, and an M.S. from the GMI Engineering and Management Institute where he graduated as a Sobey Scholar.
