Top Employee Response
More diversity , check & balances on ethics in store and all levels of the company , have a friendly welcome feedback Platform for management/ associates on different topics of the company’s core / make up and utilize this information back into the company. Work/ life balances for managers better bonus structure for Managers
job promotions would be performance based, and performance evaluations would be done using MEASURABLE paramaters
Practice what you preach the customers on top (that is correct) then associates number number two and is a joke sure don’t see it ever
What part of The Home Depot's business is growing fastest? What part is having difficulties?
Top Employee Response
Building & remodeling homes. The difficulties are with selling their credit card. Compared to the Lowes credit card H Depot's card doesn't offer much value.
the .com and app are pulling in the most business, print and in-store are the slowest and also slowest to adapt.
Technology implementation and devops (fast) Paired programming is difficult for passionate and skilled developers since a lot of the people there are not up to par and have no aim to be. It ends up being a huge waste of time and talent. Talented people find ways to learn. They don't need handholding. If they get rid of paired programming a lot of talent would flood back in.

Top Employee Response
Easy interview process. Didn't get the drug screening requirement, especially for a $11 an hour job.
for the .com its is much more informal but there is a set agenda, we want our candidates to be in their best element, in other words be your self and let your skill sets shine. We look at it as much more Agency style rather than corporate environment. "What are suit and ties'?
I didn't even have an interview I filled out the application and took the assessment test and the next day I had an email offering me a position and asking me to set up a time for a site visit. I don't know what to expect. Everyone says the phone interview comes first.....I never had a phone interview...just a job offer

What are your coworkers at The Home Depot like?
Top Employee Response
Co workers are nice. Would be an excellent idea to have cashiers submit a review of the head cashier/ front end supervisor. Co workers are diverse which is nice. Fustrating when co workers don't show up, but that would change with better wages !
most of them are great, the managers not so much and anyone having issues can get crabby
For the last 3 years we have changed the culture here, again its not done it never will be, But what we are trying to build on is a place that is super collaborative, full of energy, fast paced, a good work to life balance, much like the agency world but with out the crazy pitch time lines, within in return has boosted our opportunity to build a stronger team that thinks outside the box.

Depends on the position and the specific team, but when it comes to .com or app related roles, we are asking more Design Thinking, usability driven, agile development driven questions to our candidates, we are pushing the norm when it comes to the typical approach to candidates we have also had candidates show their skill sets on the fly as well as within a scoped out project where the candidate takes it home and comes back to present to the interviewees.
