We have set schedules now..and we know 4 weeks out what our schedule Wil be..Easy to set up appointments or family outings. I have been with Home Depot for 16 years..Will never leave.
one sided, my Dad was dying in the hospital and I called in, the manager who took my call did not tell anyone so I got written up and had to take time away from my Dad and call the store again.

Full time is 40 hours, salaried management is 55 hours per week, sometimes more. Part time is less than 32 hours

Be Neatly groomed for the interview, hair cut, clean shave, clean, neat clothing, jeans are ok. Be honest and sincere. Speak intelligently, cell phone in pocket, no head phones or ear buds, be a few minutes early for the interview. Just like any other interview for a retail position.
Find another place to apply , even if they start you low as long as they treat you right , not a # in their store .
What's one thing you wish you'd known before joining The Home Depot?
That favoritism gets you advanced...not hard work that goes unrecognized.

Horribly. At my store, they say they will get together with one another, but never do and issues go unresolved.

If the DHRM don’t like you they will railroad you and any issues that you bring to them will be sweep under the Rug even if it’s a major violation like Time thief . SM sleeping with their hourly associates so they can get promoted. ASM not following the Burglar Procedures. And this things that I’m writing here is not a story telling it’s a fact and have trends of emails , accompanied by dates and pictures. This people who has a major violation still employed with the company. But for one private message that took place on my day off and also an answer to a question was used against me .
How's the leadership on the Sales team at The Home Depot?
Store manager is a "bussiness" guy. Most ASM's don't survive very long. Can't survive without good Department supervisors.

WORK HARD USE THE TRAING THAT YOU GO THROUGH DURING THE TRAING PART IF THERES SOMETHING YOU DONT NO OR CAN REMEMBER THERE IS ALLWAY A PHONE CLOSE BY WITH THE NUMBERS TO REACH THE PERSON NEEDED FOR ADVICE

Complete all your training before heading to the floor . Notate every thing . Never tell the truth to your management because you get fired .
