Executive Bio

Mr. Lawrence J. Burian has been Executive Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel at MSG Networks Inc. (Alternate name: The Madison Square Garden Company) January 12, 2010. Mr. Burian has been Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of MSG since July 15, 2015. He oversees and direct all of MSG' s legal affairs. He is responsible for providing legal advice to executive management and for managing the MSG's legal department, including all corporate, commercial, transactional, litigation and day-to-day legal matters. He served as Senior Vice President Associate General Counsel and Business Affairs of Cablevision Systems Corporation from January 2005 to February 2010, where he provided legal and strategic counsel to Cablevision's executive management. Mr. Burian served as Vice President and Associate General Counsel of Cablevision Systems Corporation (Cablevision) since February 2002 until December 2004. He also oversaw the legal staff responsible for providing advice on various corporate legal matters, including employee benefits and real estate and supported it's PVI Virtual Media Services subsidiary. Throughout his tenure at Cablevision, Mr. Burian has played an instrumental role in many of it's complex strategic transactions, including working towards achieving the successful separation of MSG from Cablevision, the recent acquisitions of Sundance Channel, Newsday Media Group and 4Connections and the sale of the Fox Sports New England and Fox Sports Bay Area regional sports networks. He served as an Assistant General Counsel of Cablevision since February 2000 until January 2002. He served as an Associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP from August 1995 to February 2000 and September 1994 to January 1995. Mr. Burian practiced in both their New York and London offices and specialized in corporate Mergers and Acquisitions. In January 1995, he served as a Law Clerk to Justice Aharon Barak, President of the Supreme Court of Israel from January 1995 to June 1995. He serves as a Director of Madison Square Garden, Inc. He serves as Director of Tribeca Enterprises LLC and Fuse Media, Inc. He served as Director of Gabriel Technologies Corp. He served as a Director of Princeton Video Image Inc. since November 2001. He serves as Director of Garden of Dreams Foundation. Mr. Burian holds a Doctorate of jurisprudence from the Yale Law School in 1994 and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and graduated summa cum laude from Yeshiva University in New York.
