Executive Bio

Laura Szitar, Chief People Officer, brings more than 20 years of human resources and culture leadership experience to The Oncology Institute of Hope and Innovation.

Ms. Szitar’s unique background has been primarily grounded in the full spectrum of human resources operations with considerable work in culture embedding, change management, talent acquisition, development, and total rewards. She has a proven record across diagnostics, healthcare, hospitality, and the financial services industries. Ms. Szitar is passionate about building high-performing teams through a collaborative, purpose-driven approach.

Prior to joining The Oncology Institute, Ms. Szitar was Vice President of Human Resources for Mars Petcare, Antech Diagnostics, where she created and executed a people strategy and multi-year roadmap directly aligned with the organization’s growth strategy. Ms. Szitar also served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources and Administration, for 8 years at Financial Partners Credit Union. In addition to her career tenure, Ms. Szitar has served as a board member and advisor to a number of professional organizations including Harvard Business Review Advisory Council and the California Chamber of Commerce Employee Relations Committee to name a few.

Ms. Szitar holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Westminster College and a master’s degree in business administration from Keller Graduate School of Management.
