Been on downward spiral since 2017. The Vanguard I joined 10-15 years ago is nothing like the Vanguard that exists today. Bottom line now trumps clients, absolutely no regard for or concern over non MD+ employees (majority of whom are struggling to make ends meet). Used to be a great firm. Sad.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Comp structure punishes loyalty. If you join company in entry level and work your way up over the years, you will be living check to check. External hires will begin at 30-40k more for same job. Pay needs to reward loyalty if anything. Market adjustments to reflect industry. CIL adjusments!!!!!!!!!!
