Team is young and forced to learn new things quickly
The team is really diverse in term of gender and ethnicity. However everybody is farily young.
We are collaborative, and everyone is talented in different areas of software development.
What's the vibe like in the Engineering dept at Thrive Market? How many hours are you working?
We can leave early if the work is done early. Usually it's 8h of work per day.
We have weekly happy hours, and daily lunches. The work is hard sometimes, but I don't work more than 9 hours a day.
It depends of the project. In average it’s 8hours but we can take friday off if the sprint is finished early. Standup is at 10am, you need to avoid being late for it.
How do I do well in an interview at Thrive Market?
Be prepared and be honest. Your talents and experience is important to get through the online test, but it is your character that is on display in the in-person interview. The HR team works closely with every department to be an effective partner in fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, excitement and engagement. Engineering is with product and datascience in the second floor. The floor is open on to the first floor so it’s not separated like many other offices.
