For ICs salaries are intetionally below market and you are sold on this pay for performance dream and that has a plethora of unspoken rules limiting your growth (ex they grade on a curve for performance ratings)
Screaming at individual employees is not how one treats other people
Tiktok workers are underpaid and lower quality
Maturity, responsiveness empathy collaboration competition
Weird gen-z socialist/cancel culture prevails
The 360 review process where co-workers rate each other has all the fairness of a Reddit forum filled with anonymous trolls
Everything. Leadership prioritizes people who work 12+ hours per day and expect you to work all weekend.

The interview questions and presentation tasks are completely unrelated to the role. This has lead to many under or mis-qualified candidates being hired and finding the role difficult.
