Mr. Thomas Carson, also known as Tom, has been Advisor at TiVo Corporation since November 2017. He was the Chief Executive Officer and President at TiVo Corporation since December 2011 until November 2017. Mr. Carson served as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Marketing at TiVo Corporation from May 2008 to December 2011 and its Executive Vice President of Sales & Services. Mr. Carson served as the President of North American Interactive Program Guide at Rovi Guides, Inc. since March 2006. From April 2006 to May 2008, he served in various capacities at Gemstar. He served with Thomson Corporation in a wide-ranging variety of executive positions, as Executive Vice President of its Program Office being responsible for directing operational programs to improve efficiency in areas such as manufacturing, supply chain, support functions and product development. He served as an Executive Vice President of Marketing & Sales at Thomson S.A. since February 2004, Executive Vice President of Patents & Licensing from October 2002 to February 2004 and also served as its Executive Vice President of Operational Programmes. From February 2005 to April 2006, Mr. Carson served as an Executive Vice President of Operational Efficiency programs at Thomson Multimedia Corporation and from February 2004 to February 2005, he served as Executive Vice President, Global Sales and Services at Thomson. He served as an Executive Vice President , Patents & Licensing; Vice President of Global Sales, Marketing & Americas Representative and an operational leadership role as Vice President, Americas Picture Tube Operations at Thomson Corporation. From 1992 to 1998, he served as General Manager Sales, Marketing and New Business Development for Thomson's North America Picture Tube Division. Prior to this, he held various positions of increasing responsibility in sales, marketing and international business with Thomson. Mr. Carson served as the Interim Chairman of TiVo Corporation since May 13, 2015. He was a Director of TiVo Corporation since December 2011 until November 2017. Mr. Carson holds a B.S. in business administration and an MBA from Villanova University.
