TEL has many different company cultures. From ultra strict overwork in Japan to footloose and fancy-free in some parts of Austin. Depending on your role and responsibility, you may or may not be able to take part in the culture.
What is the company mobility like at Tokyo Electron?
Mobility is very slow due to the high average years in service that people put in. Restructuring happens every few years, which gives some opportunity, but generally, mobility is best described as glacial.
How flexible is your work schedule at Tokyo Electron?
Not flexible at all. Core hour work is still a requirement, despite night time work to align with Japan. Solid Japanese management style keeps the hours long and the flexibility at a minimum.
