You should receive an account verification email immediately after signing up on our website. After you pass the entrance exam, it takes between 2-3 business days to receive a welcome email with further instructions.

If you're interested in working as a transcriptionist, it doesn't take long at all. After you pass the entrance test on the website, which tests your ability to follow the style guide they use for transcribing, you usually get an email within a couple of days. If you don't pass the test the first time, you can take it again after a certain time period, but I don't remember how long the wait is.
Usually a few days. I have worked for them over 4 years and love it!

Does TranscribeMe drug test or do a background check?

Normally, TranscribeMe does not require a drug test or a background check. However, one of our special teams in the US does require a background check as per client demands.
They do not do drug testing of any sort, even when their customers that pay TranscribeMe require it.
There is now a special group of transcriptionists who do undergo a background check. This group is limited to the US, and participation in it is voluntary.
No drug test. Unsure about background check - they do require you to upload a scan of an identity document (driver’s license, etc.) before you can work on higher level teams.
What is the PTO policy at TranscribeMe?
Non-existent. What they are getting away with is actually a federal crime.

Non-existent unless you're a full manager.

Harassment. Expected to be on call 24/7. Even when you're not an employee, they illegally require you to be there when they say and work for more than legally required.

To become an admin, you must be willing to take only 10% of the average pay for people in that exact same field.

The unlimited paid vacation isn't true. You work as a contractor, so if you want to take a month off, that's fine, but you won't get paid for it. Your income depends totally on how many hours of audio or video you can transcribe or edit/review, depending on your role in the company.

The interview process is through an online exam. You know immediately whether you passed or not. If you pass the exam, you should receive an email with further instructions within 2-3 business days.
Once you pass your initial language exam, you can start working within two to three business days. Very fast turn around.
