Poorly compensated, managerial promises regularly broken, poor communication and a management team that poses as progressive, woke and caring but is anything but. At the end of the day, management only cares about their own necks and will throw you under the bus without blinking. Working here will be a master course in learning what not to do in the business world. You won't be able to recover the time you lose here because if you're not burnt out by the end, you will be miserable and cynical to say the least.
That’s it’s a large corporation that’s run like a large corporation. You are just a number. Raises are only COL increases and not based upon your performance

What's the company culture like at TRC Companies?
The previous answer here was submitted four years ago. Today, it is anything but close knit. The culture has transformed and devolved into an everyone for themselves atmosphere coupled with a air of secrecy and lack of transparency. Pay is abysmal and competent managers are extinct. Very two-faced and untrustworthy management and the sycophant coworkers who will throw you under the bus in a heartbeat to preserve their own skin. I could once recommend this company without reservation. Today, it is a definite advisory to stay away and consider another company who can competently recruit, onboard and pay you a decent wage. TRC cannot do any of these things.
Corporate world but close knit family. Long lasting employees. Pay is a bit outdated and not really inline with the market.

How hard is it to get promoted at TRC Companies?
Someone has to move on that’s ahead of you for you to get a shot. Supposedly there is a system in place to track our progress and to be able to be promoted but I’ve been here for 5 years and it’s still not implemented yet. Or know the right people and then you can get promoted over more deserving people
