Ms. Melendy E. Lovett, CPA, has been Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of Trinity Industries Inc. since March 10, 2014. Ms. Lovett served as Senior Vice President of Texas Instruments Inc. since April 2004 and served as its President of Education Technology until February 2014. She served as the President of Educational & Productivity Solutions Business at Texas Instruments Inc. since April 2004. She also directs the worldwide Educational & Productivity Solutions Business, which focuses on market-leading educational technology to improve the teaching and learning of math and science. Previously, Ms. Lovett served as Vice President of Texas Instruments Inc.'s human resources organization and was responsible for Texas Instrument's worldwide compensation and benefits programs. Her experience spans multiple areas including accounting, information technology and human resources. Her background includes operational experience in software and professional services as well as extensive experience in information technology, accounting and human resources. Prior to Texas Instruments, she served as a Senior Manager of Coopers & Lybrand. In that capacity, she built a track record of bringing bottom-line value to her clients through strategic analysis and targeted implementation. Ms. Lovett counseled business leaders in areas such as manufacturing, distribution, communications and publishing. She serves as a Member of Portfolio Advisory Board of Texas Women Ventures. She served as a Director of Trinity Industries Inc. since 2012 until February 2014. She is also a Certified Public Accountant. Ms. Lovett holds a Bachelors Degree in Management and Management Information Systems from Texas A&M and a Masters Degree in Accounting from the University of Texas-Dallas.
