The pre-employment urine drug screen and full background check using fingerprints are comprehensive. They are really serious about patient and employee safety. REALLY.

Many jobs have fifty or more applicants. Those with the exact experience and specific education the hiring manager is looking for usually hear back in a week. After a week, best to keep looking for other opportunities there or elsewhere.

In my experience with any job, if they are interested I usually hear back in less than a week. I use the time to craft an personal email to those I interviewed with. I focus on a couple of the goals they mentioned and show them I understand the position and appreciate their time.

Raises are selected through a magic 8 ball apparently. I haven't gotten a raise since 2010 despite not being capped out. Others have gotten them every year to every 2 years. No rhyme nor reason to it. Complete BS that causes animosity between staff.

People change all of the time due to work load and "the grass is greener" syndrome
