How do you feel about going to work at UMMC- Maryland everyday?
I dread it and am currently looking for another job. UMMC used to be a great place to work, but now it is a hostile environment. "Leadership" gives some nurses raises and others not. Ancillary staff hasn't had a raise in years. I am a nurse and haven't had a raise since 2010 even though I am not capped out. The ED, ICU and Med-surg nurses just got a $5/hr across the board raise while all the other nurses got nothing. It is a sinking ship that I used to be proud to work for. Oh, did I mention that the annual employee survey was done a few weeks before the raises? Are the raises a result of the answers or given after the survey so it would be favorable for the institution? We'll never know.
