What is the best part about your compensation package?
The pay is fair and competitive with the compensation rates of other companies.
Great leave and retirement benefits!
Retirement plan is very good
The work is the best part of my job
Health Insurance is some of the best in the State and no one can touch the Public Employee's Retirement System (PERS) program in Mississippi. Personal and Medical Leave accruals are the best I've experienced.

Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
Having teamwork and employee recognition
Management, staff should be rewarded and have a pay increase
Increasing compensation and increasing benefits
My salary has been capped at $19.36. Haven't gotten a raise in 3 YEARS
Salary should increase every year because rent and utilities service increases every year

Everyone is intelligent and competent. I believe everyone on my team takes pride in working here at UMMC.
Always willing to help out employees and managers needing assistance. A true team effort every day.

Having weekly meetings encouraging opinions and feedback
Organization, teamwork, harmony, leadership,and efficiency
Treat everyone with respect!!! If you're not an RN than you're looked down on. Treated like housekeeper instead of certified tech.
What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Patients seem happy with their care.
The culture promotes education, healthcare and research. Also patient safety is taken very seriously. Perhaps what resonates with me most is the sense of appreciation I feel from my managers during Employee Appreciation Week and throughout the year.

What makes you most happy at work?
Sadly not very much anymore. Used to LOVE work.
I am proud and thankful to be affiliated with the brand and legacy of UMMC. We have our own helicopter team. We are the state's only academic medical center, and we have the only children's hospital (which we are working to expand I might add)!
Working with team members to problem-solve and innovate.

Management having everyone work together as a team and being on the same page
Facilities improvement and increasing salary
We get paid less than most fast food workers and are expected to never take a break or forget something.
