Low compensation and entirely unreasonable working conditions and hours (badging in everywhere you go, everyone has to clock in 4 times a day, no exceptions for leaving before 5pm).

Good work enviroment. Room for growth

Pay is so terrible, and they dock salaried employees time if you dont hit 40 hours even if its under an hour, but no OT for those weeks you have to work more. No remote even if the roads are terrible, they really dont care, even though you have to pretend to be happy. .

The number you see are incorrect, we do not make that kind of money, you pay me next to nothing to do a job that I was making six figures to do before, no bonus no work from home, cNt really have flex time. But the owner is one of the richest men in michigan. I would rather make a fair wage,

The culture here is amazing.

My direct team lead is great and understands personal needs of all of his team members. He doesn't micromanage and trusts us to work independantly.

Always there to help or guide in sticky situations

They are nice, but again its about cutting costs. There is a lot of swallowing coolaid here

Much of leadership is still a production role at some level. Stop being dishonest about one thing and contradictory about the next. One meeting we're told to focus on this or that, and then sometimes mere hours later we're told by another leader the opposite and they act like there's no conflicts.

I would say the thing leadership needs to get better at is listening to their team and working together. But direct leaders are actually also in production roles with added responsibility and an insignificant pay increase. They are not there to listen but to enforce production quotas and tell lies

The are the best at demotvating their teams. Say they are helping but within a week that help turned into a curse. Truly a very bad place to work and if you are in sales you have 0 control of your income as they will take accounts from you and replace with garbage accounts

Trusting team members, not micromanaging

The leadership team doesn't care about my opinion. I'm only here to inform potential UWM applicants what it's really like working here.

The health insurance is reasonaly priced

The pay is not competitive with other lenders or industry averages so the only benefit is the benefits. They have one of the best insurance packages available. Any bonus or incentive structure is temporary/difficult to reach, if offered at all, and is not reliable income.

People are hired as worker bees and not for their actual skills and then under payed. Using my professional skillset and paying competitively would make me feel better.

Getting paid more hourly. Getting paid less than 40k in 2021 as someone with a bachelor's degree is demeaning.

Pay is considerably lower than the industry standard, which is only made worse by the amount of work they demand from you

UWM should have to pay Underwriters overtime. They create these Senior Underwriting positions so they can pay them salaries rather than hourly. This saves them a fortune through labor expenses since they also force their entire Underwriting team to work rise and grind shifts every other Tuesday.

Definitely need to pay more. Incredibly low compared to all jobs

Co workers are always new as we have high turn over and not many people know their job because everyone is new

The employees are not the problem. If you arent satisfied with the company in its self that will deteriorate the entire experience for you. My coworkers make work fun but im here to make a living and if its not worth it im not staying.

The Coworkers are not the problem. The quality of Underwriting training is very poor. Underwriters are not prepared when they hit the floor. Basically the team leads and Senior Underwrites have to finish the training while still doing all of their own responsibilities.

You have to pretend to be happy

The coworkers around me are positive. Upper management is the issue.

Majorityvof the people are nice and we get free drinks.

It's all fake. Nobody is actually happy at UWM besides the top 1% leadership team.

I liked most that they were very upfront and honest

It was personable. It helped not being so nervous

It was conversational, not just an question/answer situation.

Those interviewing were knowledgeable about the position and what I was being hired to do.

It's easy to get a job there because no one wants to work there

Do not pitch a dream im sure you've been made aware is impossible to reach. Honesty is key because atleast allow me to make the decision of rather id like to work here.

No work from home option. Clocking in and out; labeling workers as salaried when they are hourly, so many untrained managers that are called "leaders"; lots of separations that affect workers is not addressed
