What are some of the best things about your team?
Everyone is good at what they do and is generally good to work with.
90% of the people I work with are fantastic and among the best coworkers I've had. That is hard for a company to achieve. Upstart puts a big emphasis on finding humble, smart, hardworking people and it creates a great work environment.

I truly believe I work along side some of the best recruiters in the industry. This team is smart, intellectually humble and nimble.

What is most positive about the culture and environment at your company?
Interactions with team members are good, though limited due to the pivot to remote work.
Remote first, encouragement to come on campus
We aren't afraid to be wrong, we use data to drive business decisions and then execute quickly on those decisions. There are also no egos!

What did you like most about the interview process?
The interview panel were all very nice. The project interview was a bit silly (too little time for too much scope)

What makes you most happy at work?
I truly believe our products are impacting peoples lives and the greater good of society. By allowing more affordable access to credit, we are able to help people become more financially mobile and create a more inclusive, more accurate, credit decisioning system.
