I've had great bosses and not the best, but one thing is common they know the plan to make the department successful. We know how we are maintaining the overall mission and work hard to meet our goals.

Each department is different and basically operated independently. I would recommend someone working for UT Health overall, but not my department.

They strive for great communication and execution in the mission of our institution.

Better communication to the entire staff. Not having clear goals.

Being able to achieve high goals and a clear career/promotion ladder.

For the work I do and the teams I support around me, I don't feel my title and compensation are lined up correctly.

I do a lot of work and multiple projects that we are tasked with doing, and unfortunately the pay doesn't reflect that.

My teammates are always reliable and knowledgeable

Most are very friendly, supportive, and willing to do their part to finish the tasks at hand.

I feel like there is space for everyone to be heard. Even as a new person I'm included in the opportunity to give insights.

There is zero cohesiveness within our department. Although we are working from home a majority of the time, it can't be attributed to that because it's always been this way. There isn't a lot of effort put into staff engagement.

There's a good work life balance and we receive great benefits

The thoughts that what we do are serving and bettering our community and state.

My work modality (wfh) is really important to me, but I also love the variety of things I get to work on every day.

Not a whole lot of help. Our department is hiring too many top-tier positions and not enough of lower-level positions - the ones who are tasked with carrying out initiatives.
