Veracode is a fantastic place to work. It's mission-driven, fast-paced, supportive, collaborative and fun.
For the last 18 months the company has gone downhill, it has now been sold for the 4th time to another PE firm. The hires made in engineering and product are terrible, unprofessional and your progression depends on how close you are to them v/s actual work done.
The benefits are pretty good - no complaints!
Veracoders are super-smart, driven, collaborative, and good fun.
Compensation, culture, career progression and vision.
The opportunity to do meaningful work and be recognized for it.
Lots of opportunity to meet manager and co-workers in unstructured conversations.
The ability to really connect with the people I would be working with.
Veracode is packed full of really smart and collaborative people. It's an inspiring place to work.
Our Executive team are smart, accessible, well-aligned and focused on getting the best outcomes for the company.
The Exec. team are engaged and accessible. They have a clear vision and are aligned in delivering it.
I feel like I make a difference, that my talents and efforts are noticed and appreciated, and that I belong.
Veracode offers a wide range of benefits and seeks to be inclusive in its offer. The option to choose remote, in office or hybrid is progressive and welcome.
Working at Veracode feels purposeful. I feel like what I do matters. I enjoy working with other people who are equally focused and have great smarts, skills, and knowledge.
Please treat employees professionally, unfortunately they made terrible leadership hires for product and engineering. Unless that person is fired I do not expect the company culture to get better.
The company has very low raises and almost none benefits. On paper you are supposed to have unlimited PTO but HR often creates hurdles in utilising that and you end up taking even less PTO.
Culture has completely evaporated. Some leaders in engineering and product are very unprofessional and consider employees as paid labour. They often curse and shout in meetings unfortunately since it comes from very top nothing can be done to improve it.
Last year during the great resignation the people that were hired were all joining for the wrong reason which has led to even more employee churn this year. There is no culture and you haven't even seen most of your coworkers.
My team is really aligned and very supportive. We get things done together and our deliverables are better because we collaborate and support each other. They are also all very smart, hard-working, and fun. No one slacks off and everyone wants to do a great job.
