Executive Bio
Mr. Stephen Halliday, also known as Steve, has been Chairman of Natural Resources at Verisk Analytics, Inc. since June 19, 2017. Mr. Halliday served as Group President of Verisk Analytics, Inc. since June 6, 2016 until June 19, 2017. Mr. Halliday served as Chief Executive Officer of Wood Mackenzie Ltd. since October 2007 until June 10, 2016 and also served as its Executive Director for Energy. Mr. Halliday is responsible for setting strategy and overseeing worldwide operations. Since joining Wood Mackenzie in 1989, Mr. Halliday has filled a number of leadership roles. Previous roles included senior analyst in the U.K. upstream team, head of the European Energy team and Head of the Energy Consulting team. Mr. Halliday was part of the management team that led the company's management and employee buyout in 2001. During his 29 years in the energy industry, Mr. Halliday has also worked for BP in the downstream oil sector and TOTAL in the downstream gas business. Mr. Halliday holds a bachelor of science (honours) degree in chemical engineering from Edinburgh University.
